We are all experiencing exponential challenges to keep our businesses operational and enabling our employees to work safely from home whilst maintaining business continuity.

At Smart IT our mission has always been to deliver better, agile and efficient ways of working to our client – to ultimately help them work smarter. We now find ourselves in a world where we have to work differently, and quickly.

Cloud computing and the hosting of your key business applications in the cloud has enabled businesses to be flexible and adapt quickly to these changes which have been imposed.

In the last week alone, we’ve delivered some great solutions to our client base including:

  • We’ve helped a number of our customers set up homeworking. It included rigorous security controls to allow staff to use personal devices for work because they hadn’t got enough laptops along with managing bandwidth issues.

  • We’ve scaled up e-commerce systems to cope with unprecedented demand.

  • We’ve ensured literally hundreds of employees can work from home by scaling up server infrastructure and setting up VPNs to connect remote workers to enterprise networks. A virtual private network provides a direct connection as if the remote device were connected to the company’s LAN. The encrypted communications cannot be spied upon by the user’s home ISP and can prevent a ‘man-in-the-middle’ type attack.

  • We’ve delivered user support for clients using devices remotely.

To help you we’ve pulled a shortlist of tools that can help your business work more productively quickly and cost-effectively…
