Smart IT celebrates bumper growth

Smart IT, the ERP consultancy specialising in Odoo, has smashed its aggressive growth targets for the past financial year. An impressive new business success rate of 90% has helped it secure revenue growth of 50% on the previous twelve months, whilst also doubling the size of its team and opening two new offices in Edinburgh and Vancouver.

Headquartered in Kirkham, Smart IT’s strong growth over the past year has resulted in 10 new recruits across a variety of roles, from ERP consultants to app developers. Taking the team to 21 employees in total, mostly in the Head Office, this has driven the company to extend into the neighboring offices and double the size of its premises.

Meanwhile, as a direct result of client demand for services in Edinburgh and Vancouver in Canada, Smart IT has opened new offices in both cities, generating international growth for the first time.

Smart IT delivers enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and IT services to organisations across a range of sectors. It is an Odoo Gold Partner, specialising in developing bespoke solutions using the open-source ERP platform, which covers tailored functions for industries from smart energy to financial services and healthcare. Its ambitious goals do not end here; the firm plans to expand further with an aggressive target to triple its revenues over the next five years. This will drive an anticipated increase in headcount from 21 to around 55 by 2024.

Barry Bullen, head of key accounts for the fast-growing consultancy, is delighted by the success of new business acquisition over the last 12 months: “We know that we’re one of Odoo’s top three partners in Europe, but regardless, to win four of five of our new business pitches is an outstanding success rate. It speaks volumes both for the power and flexibility of Odoo’s software, and the talent and drive of the Smart IT team.

“We’re thrilled to have created 10 new jobs over the past year, most of them in the North West, and we have every intention of taking over the whole building soon. ERP software underpins the success of so many core business functions, and by specialising in such a flexible and easy-to-use technology, across a broad range of sectors, we have positioned ourselves strategically for strong future growth. To achieve revenue increases by 50% over the past year is a fantastic achievement, and we’re looking forward to building on it immediately.”
